Dr. Gemma Marmalade is an internationally recognised British-born artist, academic, curator, and writer, working dominantly across both the United Kingdom and Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Her broad practice playfully negotiates experimental performance with its visual and sounded documents to reveal unanticipated and extraordinary outcomes from normative experiences. This is defined under her current research model titled ‘MALETA’.

Gemma's Ph.D. is from The Cambridge School of Art, UK, and her work has been exhibited and published internationally since 2008.

Gemma leads the Photography department and works within the Senior Leadership Team for the School of Arts, University of Derby, UK. Gemma is also the Honorary Visiting Professor for the Arts at Nevada State University, USA, supporting the arts as a mode of social change.
